Volvos are a very unique type of vehicle, specially when it comes to originating a key. These vehicles are equipped with very complex top of the line Immobilizer system ( bad news for locksmiths ) with that being said. Creating a key from scratch is a very difficult process, not only figuring out the cuts for the key blade but also having the right equipment for registering the transponder into the ECM.

The dealership can make the keys on the same day! Of course if your vehicle got stranded in some other place besides the Dealer’s garage… Well… You have to find a way to get it there $$$… And of course, the first come first serve rule will apply to you. The good news is that you as a consumer have options and one of them is us!!

I have the right equipment for key origination and programming, a membership to Volvo’s database, and I will drive to wherever the vehicle is. We do most Volvo’s models ( even the fobik style smart key ) originating Volvo keys is one of our specialities, we decode your locks and once we get a ” dummy key ” working properly in all the locks we proceed to duplicated it into a transponder key, once we have our T-key we connect our computer and start the key-vehicle synchronization process, and after quite a few command codes… your key is done! and you can drive your vehicle once again.
